Happy Birthday to Bryan!

Happy birthday, Brother Bryan! In honor of this blessed day, I decided to tell everyone about a special memory I have with Bryan. I'm pretty sure you all have heard it, but it's a funny one. I thought of it today when I was telling myself at church to remember to call Bryan.

We still lived in Mt. View at the time, so I'm guessing that Bryan was 9 or 10. That would make me 7 or 8. As Bryan will remember, he and I used to do TV shows and record them on cassette tapes. We had commercials and everything. We were in the middle of one of the shows, I think, and Bryan started in on a commercial. He started singing, "There was one time I went to the movies. I saw girl there who had big...." Mom was walking down the hall and heard the song. She yelled in, "Hey!" Bryan then explained that he was going to rhyme movies with , "Goobies". Mom pointed out that the candy found at the theaters is called 'Goobers', not 'Goobies'. Needless to say, I don't think Goobies was in the original plan.

Any more funny memories? We don't get to have our birthday meal where we pull out the memories, so we'll have to fill Chelsey in via blog. I love you, Bryan!

So Annoying!!!!!

The girl that stands next to me at work is so annoying!!! She talks to herself all day, and sings. She then tells us about all the educational tv shows she watches, yet she claims to not have any tv at home!! She is an expert at everything at work, and she keeps trying to be the trainer of the new people. Luckily, I can't listen or respond to most things, as I have to concentrate on my money counting.

Oh well, at least there is someone a little kooky to interest me. Better than the old job!!!

We are thinking of having Bryan and Chelsey's party here in the back yard. What are people's thoughts on this? Of course, we have some work to do, but it may be kind of fun!

Good luck to you Blaine on the weight thing!!! I hope you can conquer it. The key is consistency, I think. As you can see, I am consistency NOT working on my weight!!!!

Not much else new. Grandpa keeps adding new day care women to his wife club. Pretty soon there will be a real harem!!!!

Creepy dream.....

Blaine's dream about rodents (scary), reminded me of the dream I had last night. I was being attacked by the marine guy on American Idol (the bald one). He was trying to stab me and my friend, Kelli (she serves in Primary with me). Kelli is 7 months pregnant, so I was trying to keep him from hurting her while she called 911. It was really weird. I had to wake up Jason and have him talk to me for a while. I don't know what the rodent thing could mean. Yikes....

On a lighter note. Lucy said something funny today. I asked her what she wanted to wear and she said, "Not pants. I'm upset of pants, Mom." Jason and I both thought it was pretty funny.

This is it....

I have made the decision that I don't want to be fat anymore! It is so annoying, it is something that I have complete control over and something that makes me so unhappy, why do I keep making decisions that just keep me fat? I rode my bike to work today, and I am going to ride up to the gym after I am done with work and that is going to have to be my routine. Lindsay is aware of the sacrifices she will have to make in order for me to be thinner and so I think I am ready!
Anyway, things are going okay. I keep having dreams that where rodents are biting me. I had a dream last night that rats were biting me and the night before it was squirells. It was pretty intense because I woke myself up (and Lindsay) screaming. Does anyone know what rodent biting in dreams mean?
My statistics class is really annoying, its not that it is extremely hard, it is just insanely tedious. Last time in class we began a problem as class started and by the time class was over (1.5 hours later) we had not finished the same problem!! What is the test going to be like?
I hope everyone is doing well, and I hope that more people will start blogging too... seriously DAD you started this!!

Where is everybody??

Hey Everybody.........how's life? Life in Lemoore is as exciting as ever. Today was an exceptionally busy day, but now that it's over I couldn't even tell you what I accomplished. Graham and Lucy are both in bed and Jason is at a Priesthood training meeting, so I'm here alone and The Office isn't on tonight. Very disappointed!!

Any thoughts on American Idol? I have to say that I was surprised that Stephanie got kicked off so soon. There were a few that I would have booted before her. What's with Sanjaya? Yikes!! My current favorites are Melinda, Blake, and Jordin. Jordin is a little too cheesy when she's being interviewed and answering questions. Those 3 are my prediction for the final people. Lakisha is good, but she bugs for some reason. We've already had a black unwed mother win.......let's move on. No sympathy votes coming from this pad.

Well, I'm getting sick of checking the blog and no one has posted or even commented! Just post a little hello! It doesn't have to be deep or witty!! Just say how you spent your day!! Wow, there are a lot of exclamation points.....sorry.

Just the news

Looks like good times were had by all there in California. Thanks for the pictures. They are great!!

Uncle Winston and Aunt Donna were here Thursday night and Friday. Gramps was in his best delusionary form. Poor Winston was duped into driving Gramps around for about 2 hours looking for his wives who were lost. Winston thought eventually Gramps would give up (what a novice!). Gramps finally came in from walking the streets (Winston finally gave it up) about 10 pm. What fun!!! m

It was nice to see them. They stayed so I could run around and do some shopping and errands. It was good to have a complete break, not worrying about the caregiver as well as Gramps.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I give Chelsey double points for falling for Bryan with his FULL beard. I thought he just had his goatee until I saw his picture on his blog. Way to go Chelsey!!!!!!! His goatee is much nicer looking!!!! (He knows my opinion on this subject)

Have to go to work today. I will sign off for now!

Livin' la vida Lemoore

Hi everybody!! I had these adorable pictures that I wanted to share with everyone. We had a blast with Blaine, Lindsay and George. We went to the coast on Monday and then hit some outlets on Tuesday. I kicked some serious butt in Speed Scrabble (just kidding, Lindsay won most of the time). They left this morning before Lucy woke up. When I pulled into the garage after working out this morning, she opened the door and said, "Where did Blaine, Lindsay, and baby George go?" When I told her they went home, she cried and cried while I held her and fought back my own tears. It stinks getting back into reality today. Check out the Graham and George pictures. It's hard to believe that two babies can look so completely different and still both be so dang cute! Lucy wore her new polka dot dress that we got at the outlets. Notice her bunny slippers. She insisted on wearing them. Lucy is going through a dress/skirt phase. She will not wear pants. So, who is coming to visit next? We'll show you some fun.......even if it is in Lemoore.

Will Jack be speaking Russian?

Well, the Blaine Hickman Fam is in California. The big question is will they all watch 24 tonight?

I for one, think 24 is repeating itself with the embassy thing, but too bad I still love it!!!! I will be watching to see how ol' Jack gets himself out of this one!!

Things here the same. Gramps is now walking to Dan's to catch a ride with the phantom brides. We have such fun!!!

Have a great week all of you! We love and appreciate all of you!

I haven't been able to write comments, as I forgot my login. I just spent twenty minutes getting it worked out. I love hearing from all of you!!!!! I would like to make comments, but I am trying to get ready to go up to see Aunt Bev, and Gramps is trying to heat up some soup. He has been putting a metal spoon in the microwave. If our house burns down, you'll know what happened. Gramps won't eat anything the new care giver makes him for lunch or dinner. Gramps is really such a happy guy. Nothing is quite right. A real sweetheart!!! Yes, Matt, he is an old delusional man, but give me a break!!!

It was nice to hear from Bryan and Beth and Blaine. I will try and log in more now. I can't use the internet at work anymore. Speaking of my job. I really like being back in the branch. It is more stressful and really makes me tired, but I do like it so much more!!!!

Have a great weekend. Rays enjoy the Hickmans being at your house! WE hope to be travelling to the two coasts soon. Love you all.

Rock You Like a Hurricane

The title of my post is a response to Beth's (Here I am....Rock you like a hurricane...it's a song people).

Anyway, I've been super busy these days with school and work. I just got promoted, so I have a lot more work to do during the day. In fact, I think it's been about three weeks since I posted on my own blog.

You all should know...things are good. I'm having a good time, despite being really busy. Also, I have a girlfriend. Yeah...that's right, I'm droppin' the girlfriend news on the blog. Guess what else...I'm posting a picture of her. This is her below. As you can see, she's really cute. Her name is Chelsey and I'm very comfortable posting a picture here on the blog because she's completely unaware that this blog exists. Of course, if she were to find out that I was posting pictures of her on the Internet, she'd likely be amused (though she'd pretend to be angry....she's like that).

So...yeah. Promotion. School. Girlfriend. Crazy times.

So here I am!

Hello there family!

Sorry I have not been blogging, I was just recently invited by ours truely. It seems as though I am not cool enough to be invited to the exulsive blog. ( I am really kidding, Dad invited me like six years ago but I deleated the email because I thought it was "junk"). Anyway! Things have been going fine here in Layton with Jason and I. Marriage is a little bit tough but nothing I cant handle, what I really cant handle is boring school!! It is begining to get old, and it seems as though there is much busy work. I guess I will live through it all. So I have a story similiar to Maggie's P.E teacher experience. I was over at Jason's house the other day and his whole family was over. His oldest sister Lindsay is getting married, and her fiance is a nice guy just dosent really think. Anywho, I was chasing Jared (jason's younger brother) around the house because he threw something at me. Once I caught up to him Lindsey's fiance said to me, "Beth, you are like one of those people on American Gladiators" I quickly replied, "what are you saying I am buff and big" he responded, "well...yea.." I said "so what you are saying is I am fat" He quickly felt awkward and the subject was changed. This may not be as good as Maggie's hilarious story, but I figure it would make her feel better knowing the ladies in her ward find her to be a P.E teacher, not an AMERICAN GLADIATOR!!! Well, BORING class is about to begin so I better jet.

Tough to swallow.....

So, what does everyone think of this season of 24 so far? I have to admit that I am pretty disappointed. I've fallen asleep the last 2 weeks. Granted, I am on allergy medication, but usually 24 is what I look forward to all week and now I can't get myself to not nod off. In all the seasons I've tuned in for, there are a lot of coincidences that you just have to go with, but this year it seems like there's just way too much to swallow. What's up with Jack breaking into the Russian consolate. Too much......what do you guys think??

Hi, from Lucy!

Lucy is sitting here with me on the computer. She's learning how to play games on the computer and loves using the mouse. She had a babysitter come on Saturday while we went to a party. She LOVES having babysitters and asks almost every day when one will be coming. Her favorite primary song right now is Follow the Prophet. She says some pretty funny things. Last night, we were playing catch before bedtime. We started out with a doll, but after a little bit, I said, "We should probably not play catch with the doll, let's go find a ball." She said, "You're right, we probably should." She is sounding more and more grown up everyday. She misses Grandma and Grandpa and talks about their visit all the time. She can't wait until they come back. For some reason she doesn't believe us when we say that Blaine, Lindsay, and George are coming this weekend.
Everyone needs to blog more!!! I'm sick of checking it and no one has done anything!!!
