We are very proud of our triathletes who finished the course at Treasure Island in San Francisco. As you can see they have a fan base of at least two. As for Nancy and I, we arrived 40 years too late to enjoy the flower power.

I don't think I understand the flower power comment...hmmm.
"Flower Power" was term used in the 60's by the many young people who migrated to San Francisco to enjoy the Pharmaceutical opportunities, Protest the War in Vietnam, and to experiment with alternative lifestyles. Had we been so called "Flower Children" your lives would have been somewhat different.
